Clinical Gastrointestinal Physiologist

 

Band 7, £28,313 - £37,326 per annum

Hours:  37.5 per week

 

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Clinical Physiologist to take on a lead role in the running of the Gastrointestinal Physiology department. You will also help to co-ordinate and support further development of the service.

 

The department provides a range of both upper and lower G.I. procedures at its two district general hospitals, Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General. We also support Trans Rectal ultrasound scanning service for Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Hereford.

 

You will be expected to undertake annual IPRs for the department staff, be a work-based assessor to the departments’ students and to participate in trust based research projects, staff training and clinical audits.

 

This post requires the candidate to hold a degree in clinical physiology or be a registered general nurse, have completed a minimum of three years as an independent practitioner as accredited by Association for GI Physiologists and be either a member of the Health Professionals Council under the modality of Clinical Physiology or a member of the Registration Council for Clinical Physiology according to professional/academic background. A management qualification would be desirable.
